New HD and OS

Well, I am writing this journal from a Linux distribution called Ubuntu. It's not installed on my computer, as I had it start up from the CD (cool, huh?). I've got two words for it. Sex ay. Even for a CD boot, this thing is running nice and smooth. In other news, my dad and I went to CompUSA last night looking for a Maxtor drive that was advertised for $60 after rebates. Because CompUSA ran out of those, we went to Circuit City and I saw a 250 gig Western Digital drive for $80 after rebates. I decided to get it. Simple enough. 50 gigs for $20 extra seems fine to me

I haven't installed the new HD yet, but when I do, I'm going to format a partition for Ubuntu. Seems like a really smooth OS to me.

I'll still have Windows installed, don't worry.

you'll love ubuntu. i currently am using FC2 on this system, and will be installing SuSE 10 on here soon. I run slack 10.2 on all my other computers. If your in the US, check out linuxfest. '05 was totally awesome, and you'll really enjoy it!
